Declaration of Intention - LC Regionals

2024 LC Regional Championships

Format
  • One (1) Distance Friday Regional Championship site. This session is a part of the Wesleyan a.m. bid. See below for details.
  • Three (3) outdoor 12/Under Saturday and Sunday Regional Championship sites.
  • Three (3) indoor 13-18 yr old Saturday and Sunday Regional Championship sites - 2 of which CT MUST be in the PM with a 2pm-ish warm-up.
  • Additional meet(s) may be added if warranted. In the case of additional meets, bids will re-open.
  • The surcharge for all LC Regional meets has been waived for the 2024 LC Season.
  • Lifeguards: All Regional Championship venues must include lifeguard coverage for the duration of the meet.

    Wesleyan Information
    All Teams are encouraged to bid on Wesleyan to host one of the two Regional Meet formats described below using this form.
    Along with the criteria all bidders must abide by, here are some additional criteria, helpful reminders and information as it pertains to Wesleyan.
  • Wesleyan will be hosting a Friday evening All-Ages Distance session and two 13-18 year olds meets on Sat and Sun. See below for more details.
  • Must abide by all the rules of the University and facility.
  • CT Swim will pay for awards. This is the same for all Regional meets.
  • Host Teams will be responsible for Saturday & Sunday facility rental fees, hospitality and all other expenses associated with running a meet.
  • Friday rental will be paid for by CT Swim.
  • Rental fee for each Team hosting at Wesleyan will be approximately $6,643.28. Note this price may change if there is any damage to the facility or the event goes over the allotted time.
  • Teams MAY NOT charge a per swimmer facility fee.
  • Timing system and timing equipment will be provided.
  • Warm-up and start times will be provided.
  • Bidders who need "guest" officials can still bid, but . .
  • Priority for these two meets will be given to bidders with a full complement of officials (Meet Ref, Starter and two Stroke and Turn) and experience running Regionals and/or meets of the same length or longer.
  • The same committee that chooses the host of all the LC Regional meets will choose the hosts of the Wesleyan Regional Meets.
